Secure Email Settings

In order to use third party email software like Mac Mail, Outlook and Thunderbird, we have created a series of step-by-step guides with pictures to guide you through the process of making sure your outgoing settings are correct.

The Correct Settings for Webshield Customers are:

	Pop3 Email Accounts	IMAP Email Accounts
Incoming Email server	mail.webshield.net.au	mail.webshield.net.au
Incoming Server Port	995	993
Security type	SSL	SSL
Outgoing Email Server	mail.webshield.net.au	mail.webshield.net.au
Outgoing (SMTP) port	587	587
Security Type	STARTTLS (or TLS)	STARTTLS (or TLS)
Authentication	Outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication	Outgoing server requires (SMTP) authentication

Domain Customers will need to use mail.[mydomainname] as their incoming and outgoing server
